The day we decided to stop pitching...

In a previous life I was the Global MD of Across the Pond.

Soon after meeting Blair Enns from Win Without Pitching, we made the decision to stop pitching forever.

No more giving away free ideas.

Pitching in the traditional sense no longer made any sense for us, we were getting caught up in situations where we were investing way too much time, energy and money. And in hindsight with very little chance of winning.

The beautiful thing was that we were still able to grow the business without jumping through pitching hoops.

We were so happy with our decision, we even took an ad out in The Drum (image below). I love that we did this!

The reality is not every agency has to be this extreme, but if you are going to pitch you should be bloody confident you're the one with the unfair advantage.

There's always one who has it!
